During my first week as the sole copywriter at Tomcat, I was asked to write home page copy for Our Place - a petite Stellenbosch eatery, owned by ex-Miss South Africa Tanya Fourie. "Daunting" is not the word. In the end it turned out way better than I ever could've dreamed and my boss received this snippet of feedback from Nanine du Preez (manager): "I LIKE!! Wie is die skrywer?"

And suddenly I wasn't just the New Girl anymore...
